HORMONE THERAPY: TIMING MAY MATTER

Menopause affects more than hot flashes and sleep. Hormonal changes can also influence cardiovascular health, bone strength, mood, energy, and overall well-being. Recent research involving women with hot flashes or night sweats found that starting menopausal hormone therapy during perimenopause or within 10 years of menopause was associated with fewer cardiovascular events.

This does not mean hormone therapy should be used to prevent heart disease. The study was observational, and HRT is not appropriate for everyone. Each woman’s symptoms, age, medical history, medications, and personal risk factors must be carefully evaluated.

At ZMD Aesthetics, we believe hormonal care should be:

✨ Personalized to your needs

✨ Guided by appropriate laboratory testing

✨ Based on current medical evidence

✨ Monitored by an experienced physician

You do not have to simply “live with” disruptive menopause symptoms. Let’s discuss whether hormone therapy or another treatment option may be right for you.
